Impact Wrestling is undergoing major changes, and they could honestly start to making up ground against the WWE. However, to do so, they will have to at least show some stability and perhaps some sort of growth from here on out.

So with the ratings released from Thursday night, was Impact able to succeed in at least one of those areas? The answer is an emphatic yes.

The ratings for this week’s Impact peaked out at 293,000 viewers, up from 275,000 last week. While that translates into only an additional 18,000 viewers, it does mean that they have been able to at least gain viewership. On top of that, here are the numbers over the last month:

  • February 23: 275K
  • February 16: 325K
  • February 9: 252K
  • February 2: 299K

This translates into an average viewership of 288,000, thus making this week’s episode above par. Overall, they’ve not only been able to maintain stability in ratings, but grew even more this week.

While this is all well and good, this is a critical time in the company’s life, and being able to build off the momentum of the rebranding is critical. Time will tell if this increase is permanent or just a temporary increase due to curiosity. If they are able to compel people to stay with strong storylines, then it could easily be the former.
