Seth Rollins has become one of the largest names in professional wrestling today. Having been the inaugural NXT Champion as well as a two-time WWE heavyweight champion on top of other accolades, there is no doubt that his choice in careers was a wise one.

However, there was one person who wasn’t convinced of his goals early on, and that was his mother. In the latest episode of “My Son is a WWE Superstar,” she discussed her feelings regarding his choice to become a professional wrestler.

“Devastated,” explained his mother. “I was devastated that that’s what he wanted to do with his life. All I knew was that there was Mad Dog Vachon, there was The Crusher.”

Rollins elaborated, “I think my folks kind of just thought it was something I was going to grow out of at a certain point. But when you’re 13, 14 you’re very stubborn, very hard nosed. I set my mind to it and that’s what I was going to do.”

As the episode wears on, you start to see how his mother opened up to the idea that her son was a rising star, and assumed the role of proud parent. The whole episode is gripping, and certainly worth watching.
