It was officially announced during WWE “Extreme Rules” on April 26 that the “King of the Ring” tournament will be making a return.
A live special will air this Tuesday, April 28 exclusively on the WWE Network.
With the finals of the tournament taking place on Tuesday, it appears that qualifying matches will occur during “Monday Night Raw” on April 27.
It’s not yet known if a prize outside of the “King of the Ring” title will be up for grabs.

No names have yet to be announced for the tournament.

If WWE really wants “King of the Ring” to mean something, they should award the winner a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Just a thought.
