Kevin Owens may not be adored by the WWE Universe across the globe, but in his home province of Quebec, Canada, the 31-year-old is highly praised as a hometown boy.
During a WWE Live Event in Montreal Friday, Owens received a hero’s welcome at the Bell Centre prior to his one-on-one match with Cesaro.
What made the moment even more special was WWE Hall of Famer Pat Patterson – also born in Montreal – introducing Owens to the raucous crowd.

He then declared that he would defeat Ryback on Sunday at WWE “Night of Champions” to become the new Intercontinental Champion.
Editor’s Note
Owens may get a similar pop in two days if he dethrones Ryback to win the title. The Intercontinental Championship is still waiting for a superstar to swoop in and take it to new heights.
