It was confirmed during a special Paul Heyman-narrated promo at “Night of Champions” Sunday that The Undertaker will take on Brock Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match at WWE “Hell in a Cell” on Oct. 25 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.

This is being billed as the final encounter to one of the most physical, personal rivalries in the history of the company.

During the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, it was noted that WWE officials originally wanted to run with another Undertaker-Lesnar match at WrestleMania 32 next year, but obviously changed their minds.

WWE apparently has a match in mind for what they want to main event its biggest pay-per-view of the year, however, those plans are currently under wraps for the time being.

It was at “SummerSlam” back in August when Undertaker emerged victorious over Lesnar in their first bout since “The Beast Incarnate” ended the 21-0 WrestleMania streak of “The Deadman.”

This won’t be the first time the two have stepped inside the demonic structure to do battle with each other, as Lesnar defeated Undertaker at “No Mercy” in 2002.

Editor’s Note

Undertaker-Lesnar III didn’t need to be at WrestleMania, so I’m alright with this decision.
