At WWE “Fastlane” on Feb. 22, Bray Wyatt was rolled down to the ring by druids while lying in a casket, seemingly as a way to call out The Undertaker.
There have been reports for months on WWE wanting to go ahead with a Wyatt vs. Undertaker match at WrestleMania 31, but that was contingent on Undertaker’s health being up to par in time for the event.
Following the pay-per-view, it appears that plans for a bout are now full steam ahead.
During an edition of “Wrestling Observer Radio” earlier in the month, Dave Meltzer noted that Undertaker would be making a return to television soon after “Fastlane.”
“I would think they don’t pull the trigger until the day after “Fastlane.” I’m guessing that’s when The Undertaker would show up.”
A video of Undertaker and his wife Michelle McCool was recently released through her Instagram account. It was noticeable that Undertaker had dyed his hair black, further solidifying that this return is inevitable.
This would be his first appearance on WWE programming since having his infamous undefeated streak broken by Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans last year.
Editor’s Note
There only five more weeks until WrestleMania 31. WWE can’t hold off any longer in terms of not having Undertaker on its programming if he’s in fact competing. Wyatt’s promos and hints over the past month or so have been breathtaking, but now we need to see some interaction between the two superstars.
