During a rare public appearance at the Wizard World Austin Comic Con on Oct. 3, WWE superstar The Undertaker was asked about possibly wrestling Sting at an upcoming WrestleMania event.
According to a correspondent for RingsideNews.com, Taker said “never say never” as it pertains to competing at WrestleMania 31 in Santa Clara, California.
He also alluded to maybe skipping WrestleMania 31 entirely and not having a match at the event for the first time since WrestleMania 2000.
When asked about Sting, Taker shrugged his shoulders and said he didn’t have any thoughts on the matter, leaving fans in attendance with very little to go on.
While participating in the CC4C Micro Marathon 4 Inspiration in Texas, Taker told a fellow racer that he hadn’t ruled out having one last bout at WrestleMania 31.
His infamous WrestleMania streak came to a screeching halt in New Orleans at WrestleMania 30, losing to Brock Lesnar and suffering a serious concussion in the process.
Sting has been very outspoken in the past over having his one and only WWE match to be with Undertaker on the big stage.
Editor’s Note
I guess we’ll know what’s really going on during the Road to WrestleMania. Undertaker’s health will obviously play a major factor in his decision. With his streak now dead in the water, the only thing that would entice him at this point is a proper sendoff match.
