The NXT debut of former indy star Uhaa Nation (now known as Apollo Crews) is just around the corner.
World Wrestling Entertainment COO Triple H recently took to social media to hype the debut of NXT’s newest star.
A name you’ll be familiar with very soon…@ApolloCrews #MakingHistory #NXTTakeOver http://t.co/36qqKcPOan @WWENXT http://t.co/cfIqP0RPnI
— Triple H (@TripleH) August 6, 2015
The reason behind Crews’ delay was WWE officials not knowing how exactly to debut him, as well as what name he would work under.
Other superstars who debuted at “NXT Takeover” events include Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe, which bodes well for Crews’ chances that WWE would have him compete at NXT’s largest show ever for his first in-ring bout.
Editor’s Note
With so many names from the NXT brand slowly making their way up to the main roster, it’s on Triple H to keep bringing in fresh names with strong followings to bolster the show. Apollo Crews fits that bill to a tee. I can’t wait to see him perform.
