WWE programming has been teasing the return of Sheamus for several weeks through video promos and packages.
PWInsider.com first reported that “The Celtic Warrior” would make an appearance the night after WrestleMania 31 on “Monday Night Raw,” but it now appears that he’s been penciled in the script for the big event on March 29.
During a Q&A session at WrestleMania Axxess over the weekend, Sheamus mentioned how there will be no more laughing and jokes when he comes back, per several fan reports.
He also talked about how fun it was knocking Daniel Bryan around the ring when they clashed.
There’s no possibility that Sheamus will be a member of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, as all 20 participants have now been confirmed. That match has also been moved to the WrestleMania 31 Pre-Show.
He could make an appearance during the Intercontinental Championship Ladder match, a bout that Bryan is a part of. Sheamus and Bryan were rumored to have a one-on-one fight at WrestleMania 31 until those plans were eventually scrapped.
His signature red hair has been shaved off after working as Darth Vader in a flashback scene for a future Star Wars instalment.
Editor’s Note
A badder, more vicious Sheamus is sorely needed. The goofy Irishman gimmick has worn out its welcome.
