The fluctuating nature of Dolph Ziggler’s pushes over the past few years has left a sour taste in the mouth of many of his supporters.
World Wrestling Entertainment’s creative team has never gone all-in with Ziggler, making the 34-year-old reportedly very frustrated with the direction his character is headed.
During a recent episode of MLW Radio, former WWE writer Court Bauer discussed Ziggler possibly leaving the company when his contract expires.
“Dolph’s deal is up in a few months and he has indicated informally that unless he gets a big push, he may leave like [Johnny] Mundo.” said Bauer.

Mundo, formally known as John Morrison in WWE, left the company in November of 2011. He now competes as a regular for Lucha Underground.
Ziggler hasn’t shied away from rumors that he may be leaving in the past, especially on his official social media accounts. He went on the following Twitter rant in April to vent some of his thoughts on the matter:

His last pay-per-view appearance was as one of the seven competitors in this year’s Money in the Bank Ladder match, which was ultimately won by “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus.
Ziggler is a former Money in the Bank winner in his own right, including being the 22nd Triple Crown champion in WWE history.
Sam and Adam Daley recently discussed Ziggler leaving WWE in a video piece here at WrestlingRumors.net.
Editor’s Note
Just when you think Ziggler is ready for a consistent main event push, WWE pulls the rug out from underneath him, sending him back to the mid-card for meaningless feuds. History shows that Ziggler may never get to stay near the top of the pecking order of WWE’s main roster like he probably should. Would anyone blame him if he left?
