PWInsider.com was first to report that Matt “Jason Albert” Bloom would be named the interim head trainer of NXT developmental for World Wrestling Entertainment.

The previous trainer, Bill DeMott, stepped down from his duties amidst allegations of his treatment of his students, including being overly physical and using homophobic slurs.

World Wrestling Entertainment investigated claims that were made by former NXT student Austin Matelson, but were unable to prove his story.

Albert took to Twitter to give his reaction on the opportunity he’s been given:

There’s no word yet on how long Albert will keep the position or who the permanent replacement will be.

Editor’s Note

Good for Bloom. If he leaves a solid impression during this stretch, perhaps he’ll keep the job outright. He knows his stuff. It’s hard to discuss the allegations that were made about DeMott until there’s more concrete evidence, though.
