In a story first broken by KFBK radio in California, former WCW announcer Lee Marshall has passed away.

Many friends of Marshall’s were offering their condolences on his Facebook page, leading one to believe that the reports on his passing are true.

The cause of death has yet to be revealed.

Marshall was a longtime radio announcer in Los Angeles, working for KABC, KGFJ and several other outlets. He had a short-stint with WWE, working as a ring announcer for the Los Angeles portion of WrestleMania II.

His most notable work in the sport came in WCW, where he was known as “Stagger Lee.” Marshall worked as a co-host for “WCW Thunder” and as an interviewer on “WCW Saturday Night.”

Until 2014, Marshall was the voice of Tony the Tiger, the fun-loving mascot for Frosted Flakes cereal.

Editor’s Note

On behalf of everyone here at WrestlingRumors.net, I would like to send our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Marshall during this difficult time.
