Dolph Ziggler isn’t going anywhere, folks.
The four-time Intercontinental Champion has re-signed with World Wrestling Entertainment on a multi-year deal, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com reports.
The report notes that the contract was signed several weeks ago.
Former WWE writer Court Bauer recently said the following on his podcast: “Dolph’s deal is up in a few months and he has indicated informally that unless he gets a big push, he may leave like [Johnny] Mundo.”
If a future push to the main event was something Ziggler strived for in contract negotiations, we may not be too far off from seeing Dolph near the top of the food chain WWE once again.
Ziggler has trolled internet fans in the past in regards to him leaving WWE, especially on his official Twitter account, where he posted a cryptic message in late-April.
Ziggler is currently involved in an on-screen relationship with Lana, the former manager of Rusev, who’s currently out of action with an injury.
Editor’s Note
I don’t know how I feel about this news. In one way, I’m happy to see Ziggler stick around, as I believe in my heart of hearts that he hasn’t reached his fullest potential yet. Then again, Ziggler dream matches on the independent scene, especially for a company like Ring of Honor, would be plentiful.
