At WWE “Fastlane” on Feb. 22, Roman Reigns defeated Daniel Bryan in the main event to retain his No. 1 contender status for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship heading into WrestleMania 31.

Paul Heyman and his client Brock Lesnar will address Reigns’ victory on the Feb. 23 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” as first revealed on Heyman’s Twitter account:

There were reports that WWE was going ahead with a Lesnar vs. Reigns vs. Bryan Triple Threat match at WrestleMania 31, but it appears now that those plans have been officially scrapped.

There’s no word yet on who Bryan will be facing at the big pay-per-view, although both Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus have been rumored to be his opponent.

Editor’s Note

Like it or not, the main event of WrestleMania 31 will be Reigns vs. Lesnar. Reigns proved he can have a great 20-minute match at “Fastlane,” but headlining a WrestleMania is an entirely different animal. We’ll see if he delivers the goods in five weeks time.
