As one of the more polarizing figures in WWE today, Dolph Ziggler continues to get stellar reactions from the WWE Universe, yet his on-screen pushes always tend to fall flat.
According to a report from PWInsider.com, the reason behind Ziggler “being held back” has more to do with his health than anything else.
Backstage officials consider Ziggler to be “injury-prone.”
As is the case with Christian, Ziggler has a history of getting injured at times where he’s either getting a push or on the verge of one.
WWE can’t put their faith in him if he’s going to continuously be taking time off to nurse or rehab injuries.
The report notes that some superstars in the company are looked at as “snakebite” when it comes getting hurt. Ziggler is a prime example.
Ziggler had two concussions in just one year, one of which forced his first-ever World Heavyweight Championship reign to be cut short early.
Editor’s Note
It’s frustrating. Ziggler is one of the most talented guys in the company, but can you really blame WWE if his injury history is why they’re holding him back? He takes several risks in the ring, which is certainly detrimental to his health. It’s a double-edged sword.
