On Friday, June 13, there were many rumors swirling around on Twitter that CM Punk had married his fiancée and current WWE Diva AJ Lee. On April 1, it was revealed that the two had been engaged. Next month, in May, during an appearance on a Chicago Cubs broadcast, Punk revealed that he would be marrying Lee in June.

Now, the rumors have been confirmed by PWInsider. On either Friday, June 13, or Saturday, June 14, CM Punk married AJ Lee. The website received many questions, asking if the two were married late Friday afternoon. While the website stated that it did not occur in the afternoon, it was able to confirm that the two wed late that night or early morning on Saturday, June 14.

Additionally, PWInsider noted that it chose not to acknowledge the wedding due to being told it was a small, low-key private affair. Both Punk and AJ wanted privacy.

As we previously reported, Lee is expected to return to WWE, following her wedding. On the other hand, Punk continues to make the best of his “retirement.” His contract with WWE is set to expire in July. However, Vince McMahon can very well renew it, if wanted, similarly to Rey Mysterio’s contract.
