The “WWE Money in the Bank” special event takes place on June 29, live from the TD Garden in Boston.

The WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line in a Ladder match after former champion Daniel Bryan was stripped of the gold due to his neck injury.

The word backstage is that a heel will win the championship at the end of the month. That leaves room to easily book a rematch with Bryan down the road.

Sheamus, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, Cesaro and Alberto Del Rio are all confirmed for the match.

The final two slots are expected to be filled later this week, beginning tonight on “Monday Night Raw.”

There’s no official word on whether we’ll be getting a second Ladder match for the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Editor’s Note

Having a heel win the championship fits wrestling logic. Doesn’t bode well for Sheamus, though.
