During their legendary WWE run, Jeff and Matt were seven-time world tag team champions. They won the World Tag Team Championship six times and the WCW Tag Team Championship once.
Also, they were awarded Tag Team of the Year by Pro Wrestling Illustrated in 2000.
Being Attitude Era stars, the Hardy Boyz had many exemplary matches alongside Edge & Christian and the Dudley Boyz.
In 2000, Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Match of the Year was The Hardy Boyz vs. The Dudley Boyz vs. Edge and Christian in a Triangle Ladder match at WrestleMania 2000.
One year later, the three teams won Match of the Year for their Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match at WrestleMania X-Seven.
While they were still partners, Jeff and Matt won many singles titles.
They each held the European Championship once. Jeff won the Hardcore Championship on three occasions, and Matt held it once.
Jeff held the Intercontinental Championship twice and Light Heavyweight Championship once.
Later in his career, Jeff would become a three-time world champion, a Triple Crown Champion, and a Grand Slam Champion.
One the best feuds of the late 2000s were actually between Matt and Jeff.
The two brothers tore the house down in a brutal Extreme Rules match at WrestleMania XXV. At Backlash 2009, they would compete in an “I Quit” match.
Both brothers would move to TNA, where they would eventually win the TNA World Tag Team Championship together.
Matt is a two-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion, and Jeff has held the same title on three occasions.
The Hardy Boyz weren’t always under the spotlight, though. They were originally two hopeful brothers who wrestled on a trampoline but worked their way to the top.
With a tenure of over twenty years, The Hardy Boyz truly define that saying, “hard work pays off”.
