While Sting remains in recovery, Dave Meltzer expressed reservations about Sting returning to the ring. Seltzer said on Thursday’s “Wrestling Observer Radio,” according to inquisitr.com:
“[Sting] isn’t doing too bad. I don’t know if he’s going to wrestle again, and I don’t know what treatment he’s going to need, or where he is. But, I know that, as far as getting around, he’s fine for every day life.”
Even if Sting, at 56 years old, makes a full recovery, inquisitr.com points out that WWE has their own reservations about letting any talent over the age of fifty wrestle, especially since Jerry “The King” Lawler suffered a heart attack at ringside.
Editor’s Note: Then again, The Undertaker turned fifty in March and will have wrestled Brock Lesnar, likely one of the stiffest competitors twice by October 25, with one of those matches taking place inside Hell in a Cell. Follow Bill Kline on Twitter @RealBillKline or on Facebook.
