What works, works. Ever since their epic return to Monday Night Raw, the modern-day dudes with attitudes, “The Horseman” Drew McIntyre and, “The Zig”, Dolph Ziggler, have been reviving the show much like two of their forefathers.

In 1995, the then WWF was going through a severe slump. Poor storylines, lack-luster performances and compromised production values had created more holes in WWF’s ship than a pincushion. To try and remedy the situation, the original dudes with attitudes, Shawn Michaels and Diesel, decided that sad-times were over, attendance, viewer ratings and merchandise sales needed to improve.

Check out Shawn Michaels and Diesel’s reunion:

HBK and Diesel reunion

Shawn and Diesel employed their creative and passionate approach to the wrestling business.  Within a few years, attendance and viewership were back up, and merchandise sales were as hot as Shawn holding the WWF Championship. Kevin Nash had joined WCW and helped create one of its most successful products, the New World Order, elevating WCW’s profit-margin into the heavens.

Here we are some twenty plus years later. Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler have picked up where Michaels and Diesel left off. Sure, they’re not as young as Shawn and Diesel were when they pulled off their coos, but times have changed. The thirties are the new twenties. So, if you are in your twenties, no one is taking you seriously anyway because the twenties are the new teens.

McIntyre and Ziggler deliver an amazing promo:

Drew McIntyre's And Dolph Ziggler's Amazing Promo

Last night WWE fans had a quite the awakening when Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, in my opinion, took control of Raw and made it better.  Ziggler and McIntyre commit fully to their characters and bring passion to the ring, just as their forefathers Shawn Michaels and Diesel did years ago.

Dolph became the new Intercontinental champion by defeating Seth Rollins:

There is a rematch scheduled between Ziggler and Rollins for next week on Raw.  I’ll go out on a limb and predict the same outcome.  Dolph wins.  Congratulations Dolph on becoming Intercontinental champ. Next up, I hope to see The Horseman Drew McIntyre crowned Universal Champion.

What are your thoughts on McIntyre and Ziggler?
