Following WWE’s report of its second quarter earnings, massive layoffs were reportedly set to commence. One report even suggested that about 10 percent of WWE employees would be laid off on Thursday or the succeeding days. While Vince McMahon has reportedly ended the staff reduction process, there has still yet to be many reports of who, or what departments were let go.
Former WWE announcer and now Ring of Honor employee Kevin Kelly has come out with one of the first departments to be let go due to the staff reduction process.
On his Twitter account (@realkevinkelly,) Kelly noted that he heard WWE had let go the entire magazine department:

Each month, an edition of WWE Magazine comes out, with some exclusive content. In the past, it has even hinted towards possible returns and storyline progressions. In the June edition, it teased a Chris Jericho return. Additionally, in the same edition, it hinted towards a breakup of The Shield. Both of these things would end up ringing true in due time.
Kelly’s words have been confirmed by F4WOnline. Per the website, the last edition of the magazine will be released on Sept. 16, serving as the October edition. There is a chance that the magazine continues with an outside publisher. WWE would have to lease the name for this to occur. Nonetheless, WWE itself will no longer be producing it following Sept. 16.
Besides the magazine department, not many of the other staff reductions are known. Ricardo Rodriguez was released on Wednesday, July 30. However, it is unknown if his release was part of reducing the staff. Rodriguez was the one who made his release known, stating that he wants to be a wrestler. In WWE, he has primarily served as a manager and commentator.
Editor’s Note
If true, that’s a shame. Unfortunately, the print industry is dying, so it’s not too much of a surprise.
