According to The Wrestling Observer, WWE’s total revenue from corporate sponsors in 2008 was just over $7.4 million. Since 2008, WWE has begun to push a PG-rated product as well as promise the end of racy TV. By promising sponsors the end of edgy programming, it appears that it may have led to an increase in revenue from corporate sponsors.

Wrestling Observer reports that the current corporate sponsor revenue is likely to exceed $20 million at the end of 2013. If these numbers hold true, WWE would see almost triple the amount of revenue coming in for the year 2013 than it did in 2008. Tripling revenue in just under five years bodes well for PG programming to stay in effect.
