Update on AJ Lee's Title Defense at Night of Champions

As we previously reported, WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee will likely be defending her Divas Championship against one of the stars of WWE’s new reality show, Total Divas. The storyline was started when the Divas Champion released a “pipe bomb” on the cast of Total Divas during the August 26 edition of Monday Night Raw. As of now, there has been no decision on who will be facing AJ for the Divas Champion. AJ’s title defense will be taking place at Night of Champions live from Detroit, Michigan on September 15, 2013.

According to F4WOnline, there is backstage speculation that the match may have the reigning and defending Divas Champion, AJ Lee, drop the title to one of the stars of Total Divas. It’s said that the match would then be featured as the main storyline going into the first season’s season finale of Total Divas.
