To combat the fall season, perhaps the most lethargic part of WWE’s year, the company has utilized special guest appearances to attempt to generate spark, and boost ratings. During the most recent showing of “Monday Night Raw,” on Oct. 6, WWE featured the hosts of CBS’ “Today Show,” Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford, in an in-ring segment. Additionally, during the build to “Night of Champions,” Jerry Springer was inserted into the feud between Nikki and Brie Bella.
Following a week of poor “Monday Night Raw” viewership, in which viewership hit its lowest point in months, WWE is certainly looking to do what it can to increase viewership. In what is likely an effort to boost the viewership numbers, WWE has announced two special guest stars for the Oct. 13 edition of “Monday Night Raw.”
Reality television stars NeNe Leakes and Todd Chrisley will be featured on “Monday Night Raw” on Oct. 13. Leakes is best known for being part of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” where she is the only housewife to appear on all seven seasons. Chrisley, on the other hand, has just begun his career in reality television. “Chrisley Knows Best,” which has sometimes aired on the USA Network following “Monday Night Raw,” follows the life of Todd Chrisley and his wife and children. The show’s first season ran from March to April of 2014, and a second season is slated to air down the road.

That should definitely boost ratings, and improve an already bad product.
