At WrestleMania 31 on March 29, Triple H will go one-on-one with “The Icon” Sting, who will be wrestling in WWE for the first, and perhaps last, time. As previously reported, WWE issued a casting call for male extras to portray scarecrows, likely to make Sting’s already grand entrance that much more special.
On the flip side, WWE will be incorporating the Terminator franchise into Triple H’s WrestleMania 31 entrance. As noted, WWE and NBC Universal are strengthening their marketing partnership, which will first see them advertise for the film “Terminator Genisys,” scheduled for a July 2015 release. The two sides will reportedly achieve this by having video and audio clips from the Terminator series incorporated into the entrance of “The King of Kings.”
In an update to the story, PWInsider has provided some more details on Triple H’s WrestleMania 31 entrance. According to the website, HHH is also expected to dress in Terminator garb for his entrance. It is said to be a “full-blown Terminator entrance,” with Triple H likely donning a black leather jacket, similar to the one Arnold Schwarzenegger wore in the original “Terminator.” Additionally, WWE’s COO will possess other identifiable characteristics to the character, like the red eye sunglasses.
Editor’s Note
Triple H’s WrestleMania entrances are always special, and it looks like this year will be right up there with past years.
