Sunday, December 15 was a marquee day for the WWE. Along with its crowning of a WWE World Heavyweight Champion at the TLC pay-per-view, the season finale of the first season of “Total Divas” aired on E! Network. Despite facing tough competition from TLC, viewers were up from last week for the program, according to TVByTheNumbers.com
The website’s report stated that the season finale for “Total Divas” averaged 1,295,000 viewers. That number is up almost eight percent from the previous edition of the program, averaging about 100,000 more viewers. The near eight percent rise will likely be pleasing to both WWE and E! Network as expectations were low due to TLC.
In comparison to the past two “Total Divas” episodes that went up against pay-per-views, the episode stands out. For the Night of Champions and Survivor Series pay-per-views “Total Divas” averaged 1,036,000 and 920,000 viewers respectively. Season two of “Total Divas” will begin in March of 2014.
