For weeks, the WWE Universe has been anticipating the face-to-face meeting between Sting and WWE COO Triple H. It occurred at the inaugural “Fastlane” pay-per-view on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015. The event, which emanated from Memphis, Tennessee and its FedEx Forum, saw “Stinger” issue a challenge to Triple H for a match at WrestleMania 31.
At the beginning of the confrontation, Triple H offered Sting to walk away, and build upon his legacy within WWE through the WWE Network, DVDs, merchandise, and much more. However, Sting stood his ground, not accepting the deal from “The King of Kings.”
Soon after, the two began brawling, with Triple H getting the best of Sting during the early goings. However, after grabbing his signature sledgehammer, Triple H was met by Sting’s legendary bat. Sting then proceeded to corner HHH in the corner of the ring with the bat.
Continuing his silence, Sting simply pointed his bat at the WrestleMania 31 logo in the rafters of the FedEx Forum. Triple H appeared to accept Sting’s presumed challenge for a match at WrestleMania 31, stating, “Fine. You got it.”
Prior to letting Triple H leave the corner of the ring, Sting said under his breath, “See you at ‘Mania.” The two would close by continuing their physical encounter, with Sting hitting a “Scorpion Death Drop” on Triple H.
