On Tuesday, Sept. 16, WWE taped the Sept. 19 edition of “Smackdown” from Biloxi, Mississippi at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. Thanks to Marcus Hay (@marcusHAY) on Twitter for sending us the spoilers.
Below are the spoilers for the Sept 19. showing of “Smackdown,” the final edition of WWE programming prior to the 2014 “Night of Champions” event:
1. Jimmy Uso (w/ Jey Uso) def. Stardust (w/ Goldust)
2. Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler (w/ R-Ziggler) def. The Miz and Cesaro (w/ Damien Mizdow)
3. Adam Rose def. Heath Slater (w/ Titus O’Neil-) Rose picks up the victory, following the bunny from the Exotic Express climbing into the ring. The distraction would be Slater’s downfall.
It is announced that the main event will feature Roman Reigns taking on Rusev in a singles match.
4. The Wyatt Family def. Big Show and Los Matadores- On the Sept. 15 showing of “Monday Night Raw,” this bout was originally scheduled with The Usos in place of Los Matadores. Wyatt hits “Sister Abigail” on Fernando for the victory.
5) Paige def. Nikki Bella in a non-title match- AJ Lee is out to join the commentary team for this match. As is the case any time AJ Lee appears, she receives “CM Punk” chants. Upon AJ Lee entering the ring with the Divas Championship after the match, Paige demands the title back from AJ. The two quickly tangle for the title. Nikki Bella then wastes no time in knocking both the Divas to the canvas, standing tall to close the segment, with the Divas Championship in her hands.
6. Bo Dallas def. Jack Swagger- In a “Raw” rematch, Bo Dallas prevails this time around. Though, Swagger controls most of the match, which also spills outside of the ring. After the match, Bo Dallas tells Swagger to just “Bo-lieve!”
7. Rusev def. Roman Reigns via disqualification- This powerful, back-and-forth match ends due to Seth Rollins’ interference. Rollins attempts to leap from the top rope and strike Reigns with his Money in the Bank Briefcase, but instead hits Rusev. Reigns then throws Rollins out of the ring, and hits a “Superman Punch” on Rusev. Rollins and Reigns brawl, spilling out onto the announcers table to close “Smackdown.”
