On Tuesday, Nov. 25, WWE taped the Nov. 28 edition of “Smackdown” from the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Below are the spoilers for the Nov. 28 showing of “Smackdown:”
The show kicked off with MizTV and Miz and Mizdow’s special guest, Big Show. However, it would not be long before Daniel Bryan interrupted the three, receiving a huge roar from the crowd. Similar to his return on “Monday Night Raw,” Bryan served as the authority figure during his return on “Smackdown.” Bryan announced Big Show would be in action next, in a battle royal for Rusev’s United States Championship. Rusev had to defend his United States Championship in a battle royal due to not reciting the Pledge of Allegiance on “Raw.”
1) Rusev retains United States Championship in a battle royal- The whole roster was included in the battle royal, but Rusev would still come out on top, keeping his United States Championship. Once again, he and Jack Swagger clashed, as seeds continued to be planted for another feud between the two.
2) Divas Champion Nikki Bella (w/ Brie Bella) def. Emma in a non-title match- Following the match, former Divas Champion AJ Lee attacked The Bella Twins. Strangely, prior to the match, Nikki cut what was perceived as a strong babyface promo, despite working as a heel in this program with AJ Lee.
3) Ryback def. Seth Rollins via disqualification- Ryback got the DQ win upon interference from Kane, who was looking for revenge after being humiliated as Concessions Kane on “Monday Night Raw” by “The Big Guy.” Afterwards, special guest GM Daniel Bryan announces Ryback vs. Kane in a Chairs match for “TLC.”
4) Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods def. Heath Slater, Titus O’Neil, and Curtis Axel- The New Day officially debuted, making quick work of their foes. Read more about The New Day’s debut in the preceded hyperlink.
5) Dolph Ziggler def. Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper via countout- In this title match, Harper was lucky to hang on to his title, by not getting pinned or submitted.
