One of the most polarizing figures around the wrestling community, a Reddit user with the username “MetsFan4Ever,” has been breaking various WWE news. MetsFan4Ever claims to be a former WWE employee, who has been able to maintain ties within the company and other employees. He correctly predicted that WWE would move the Dean Ambrose vs. John Cena “Hell in a Cell” qualifying match to “Monday Night Raw.” Additionally, he was accurate in calling a Nikki Bella vs. Brie Bella match, in which the loser becomes the winner’s “personal assistant.”
MetsFan4Ever has taken to Reddit once again to give his followers some more WWE insider information. He is claiming that WWE may be dropping the “Elimination Chamber” pay-per-view. He states that word within WWE from “Smackdown” tapings on Tuesday, Oct. 21, is that it will be dropped, and replaced with a pay-per-view named either “Fast Lane” or “Fast Track.”
After his initial post, MetsFan4Ever would elaborate, and answer some questions from his followers:
“The reason is because there is only one WWE / World Champion right now. So they want to stay with the Rumble winner receiving the shot and have no Chamber even with the title holder in the match.”
Despite the rumors of WWE dropping the pay-per-view, the Reddit user would state that Elimination Chamber matches are still expected to occur, when needed at pay-per-view events. It is unknown when WWE would officially drop “Elimination Chamber.” On WWE.com, “Royal Rumble” is the last pay-per-view that is advertised to occur. The 2015 “Elimination Chamber” event has been rumored to take place in Memphis, Tennessee, but WWE has not confirmed anything quite yet.
Editor’s Note
Wow. I could definitely see this happening due to the fact that Brock Lesnar is the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
