According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, as of now, WWE is going forward with the feeling that The Rock will not be used in 2014. For the past three years, “The Great One” has been featured as a short-term character throughout the year on WWE programming. Similarly to the reasoning behind Ryback receiving another big push, The Rock may not be back until 2015 because a major license was told to hold off on producing any merchandise singling out The Rock.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the major license was given this news sometime last week, but were told that they were allowed to feature The Rock in a group shot of other WWE superstars. However, the license was also told not make anything specific with The Rock because the feeling is he will not be back until 2015.

This has been taken as a sign that WrestleMania XXX will not feature “The Brahma Bull.” It’s still not known if Rock has told this to WWE officials, or if WWE is just making an assumption and chose not to merchandise The Rock individually.
