As we previously reported, John Cena will miss four to six months after undergoing elbow surgery two days after losing the WWE Championship to Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam. On the Monday Night Raw after his defeat, Cena stated that he was advised to not wrestle Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam, and then take time off after surgery. Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that this indeed was the case. However, Cena was keen on doing the match and putting Daniel Bryan over before taking time off.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter is also reporting that John Cena’s upcoming rehabilitation of his torn tricep will be featured on several episodes of E!’s new television series Total Divas. Despite the surgery, John Cena still expects to compete at WrestleMania XXX.
