Prior to and during the Aug. 4 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” Scott Hall teased a reunion of the famous nWo stable. His tweets hinted at the faction being part of Hulk Hogan’s birthday celebration on the Aug. 11 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” which advertised “special guests” to appear.
After teasing the reunion further on Tuesday, Aug. 4, it appears Scott Hall was not blowing smoke on the situation. PWInsider is reporting that part of Hulk Hogan’s birthday celebration will include a reunion of the nWo. The reunion will simply be of the three founding members: Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash. Upon WWE purchasing WCW, the nWo would debut in WWE with these same three men.
Additionally, the website claims that at least three other legends will appear for Hogan’s celebration. Jimmy Hart, Ric Flair, and Paul Orndorff will also be there to celebrate with Hogan. There are even more surprise guests expected for Hogan’s birthday celebration, but these six men are the only people confirmed for now.
If Scott Hall does indeed appear on “Monday Night Raw,” it will be his first time on the program in more than 12 years. His last appearance on “Raw” and match for the company came in May of 2002. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014, but was only seen at the induction ceremony and WrestleMania XXX.
Editor’s Note
Wow. This seems like it’s going to be a very good segment. However, with this being the “go-home” show to “SummerSlam,” you would have to think something for the event is announced here.
