On Wednesday, April 23, game four of the National Hockey League’s Eastern Conference Quarterfinals matchup between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Columbus Blue Jackets occurred. The game was contested at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, as the Blue Jackets looked to their crowd to help them even up the series.
Although the Blue Jackets gave up three goals in the first period of the contest, they were able to return the favor to the Penguins, by dominating play during the second and third periods. Due to their strong play, in addition to some help from Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, the Blue Jackets were able to score three unanswered goals, tying the game late in the third period.
The contest would then go to overtime, but the Blue Jackets wasted little time to finish the game. Just under three minutes into the overtime period, Blue Jackets forward Nick Foligno scored the game winning goal, sending the fans home happy.
Following their victory, NHL.com posted a behind-the-scenes look at the aftermath of the game. In its video, the Blue Jackets celebrated with a replica of the WWE Championship, the retro “spinner” version. In the video, Blue Jackets defenseman Jack Johnson is given the title for his tremendous play by a teammate, in what is likely a tradition after each victory for the team.

This is a neat video from NHL.com, which continues to show how WWE is very prevalent in the four major sports leagues.
