TVByTheNumbers.com has released the cable viewership information for Monday, July 14. In terms of viewership, “Monday Night Raw” came in second for the night, only bested by ESPN’s coverage of the 2014 Major League Baseball Home Run Derby. However, when looking at ratings for adults aged 18-49, “Monday Night Raw” came in third, behind VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” and the aforementioned Home Run Derby.
The “go-home” show to the “Battleground” pay-per-view averaged 4.153 million viewers, down from last week’s number of 4.38 million. It is also down from the June 30 edition of the program, which averaged 4.322 million viewers.
The hourly breakdown for the July 14 showing of “Monday Night Raw” goes as follows:
Hour 1: 4.00 million viewers
Hour 2: 4.231 million viewers
Hour 3: 4.229 million viewers
The first hour drew in the least amount of viewers, despite the Home Run Derby being in a rain delay for the majority of that hour. Viewership then increased for the second hour, ever-so-slightly dropping for the final hour. The highest viewed hour featured the advertisement for Sting as the pre-order bonus for the upcoming “WWE 2K15” video game.
Additionally, “Monday Night Raw” received a 1.3 rating for adults aged 18-49. This is down from the past two weeks’ ratings of 1.6
Editor’s Note
With the Home Run Derby airing, a drop in viewership should have been expected. I would think that next week’s “Raw,” which will kick-start “SummerSlam,” will fare much better.
