In the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Bray Wyatt character is discussed. The newsletter brought up previous reports that WWE wants Wyatt to be a full-on babyface before the end of 2014.
Though, it also noted that many within WWE already believe that Wyatt is a babyface character. These people see Wyatt as a babyface because of two things. First off, his mentioning of the city WWE is in, prior to his entrance. Additionally, they turn to his character engaging fans at various times. For example, during his feud with John Cena, Wyatt would engage fans to join along in his singing.
The report also talks about WWE’s mentality for Wyatt then and now. Its current mentality is that the company just wants Wyatt to get over. In the past, it did not expect fans to sing along with Bray Wyatt’s lyric, “he’s got the whole world in his hands.” Even further, the company did not intend for it to be a babyface move. However, there are no plans to remove this, as it has now become a staple of his character.
Bray Wyatt’s future for the “Money in the Bank” pay-per-view has been confirmed, during the recent tapings of “Smackdown.” If you’d like to read about it, you can find our story here, but beware, the story contains spoilers.
Editor’s Note
I’m sure our own Doug McDonald loves that some within WWE acknowledge Wyatt as a babyface.
