On Saturday, Nov. 15, Tommy Dreamer’s House of Hardcore wrestling promotion will be putting on its seventh major event, “House of Hardcore VII.” The event will be airing live on iPPV, and its main event features The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy) going up against The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson.)
Additionally, another marquee match was going to see Tommy Dreamer go one-on-one against TNA star Ethan Carter III in an Old School Extreme Rules match. However, that match will not be going on as planned due to “EC3” having to miss the event.
The news was announced on Tommy Dreamer’s official Facebook page on Friday, Nov. 13:
“CHANGE TO HOUSE OF HARDCORE VII, EC3 WILL NOT APPEAR
Due to circumstances beyond our control, House of Hardcore has to unfortunately announce that TNA Impact Wrestling star Ethan Carter III will not be appearing at this Saturday’s House of Hardcore VII at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA, which will air live on iPPV.
Carter, who was scheduled to face Tommy Dreamer, will miss the event due to undisclosed reasons.”
Dreamer, himself, would also comment on his opponent having to miss the show:
“Obviously, the timing of this, to be blunt, sucks. I was looking forward to taking Carter all over South Philadelphia and showing him what a true old school Extreme Streetfight was all about, especially for the last time my wife Beulah McGuillicuty will accompany me to the ring, but House of Hardcore will move forward and we’re still going to have an amazing homecoming on the corner of Swanson and Ritner. Remember, you never know what we have planned. You get knocked down and you have to get back up. We’ll get back up and overcome this turn of events. See you in Philly.”
Upon the announcement of Carter’s absence, F4WOnline published a report as to why EC3 would be missing the House of Hardcore event. According to the website, Carter suffered a torn biceps, and will likely need to undergo surgery sometime soon. Generally, the injury comes with a rehabilitation period of around six months.

Unfortunate news for one of the few bright spots in TNA.
