WWE Superstar Cesaro recently sat down with Billy Donnelly of ThisIsInfamous.com to promote the upcoming “Hell in a Cell” pay-per-view on Oct. 26, and talk a number of WWE topics. The man who will attempt to dethrone Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler in a two out of three falls match at “Hell in a Cell” covered a plethora of discussion points in regards to his WWE career thus far.

Cesaro spoke about the success of his Real Americans tag team with Jack Swagger, and his frustration in how it all ended:

“Well, see, I go on record all the time saying me and Jack Swagger were the best tag team in the WWE to never hold a tag team championship, and I stand by that, because Jack and I were an incredible tag team. There’s no denying that we were really talented, and I think the crowd started really picking up on that. We had personal differences, and that’s what kinda caused the rift, but I was not surprised, because if you’re extremely good, then you can love it or hate it, but you have to at least recognize talent.”

“Yeah, you know, I was definitely sad the way it ended. I think we could have… We should have won the Tag Team Championship. We would probably still be Tag Team Champions. And that’s my only regret.”

Though, Cesaro’s split from Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter led to him working with Paul Heyman. The “King of Swing” said he was happy with his stint in which he was managed by Heyman:

“Well, you know, to have a chance to work with Paul Heyman, if you didn’t take it you’d be a fool. Of course I’m not a fool, so why wouldn’t I take the chance to be working with Paul Heyman very closely, learning from him, sitting under the learning tree, for lack of a better term. I did that and I thought that was a very good time for me. Very successful, and I learned a lot. That’s very important because it’s all about building the future. You wanna learn, and you wanna get better, and that’s what I do.”

“Oh, there’s been so much. He has managed and helped some of the all-time greats here in WWE, so just on a day to day basis, talking to him and listening to what he thinks of things and the way he would do things and the way he does things. That’s just something that you cannot explain or put in words.”

With “Hell in a Cell” fast approaching, Cesaro discussed his opponent at the event, Dolph Ziggler, promoting their title match on “Smackdown:”

“Well I think Dolph has done a great job elevating the tile just because he is a very good in-ring competitor. He’s never as good as I am, which is why I think I should be the Intercontinental Champion. If you look at the Intercontinental Champion, historically that has always belonged to the best of the best in-ring talent, the best wrestler, whatever you want to call it, that came out night after night, produced night after night, and that will be me. So I think rightfully the Intercontinental Championship should be mine from Smackdown, and I’ll go into Hell in a Cell as the Intercontinental Champion.”
