Earlier this week, it was announced former WWE Divas Champions Paige and Alicia Fox would be joining the cast of E!’s popular reality show, “Total Divas.” While this spurred rumors of the Divas Championship further being kept away from those on the show, there were other rumors that have erupted as well.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer provided an update on some of the new additions to the cast and what it may mean for some of the older cast members on the program.

According to the report, the purpose of adding the two stars will be to set up a “feud” of sorts between the veterans of the Bella Twins alongside Cameron with the team of Fox, Paige and Rosa Mendes. Mendes was the newest star on the first half of the season, and has created issues within the cast on-screen.

Meltzer notes the proposed feud is interesting in particular due to Cameron, who would receive a particular focus with Fox. Fox, who will receive a similar “crazy” character to the one she played on WWE television earlier this year, seemingly replaces what was intended to be a program between Cameron and former co-Funkadactyl Naomi. Neither Naomi or Summer Rae are mentioned in the season preview.

It is also mentioned WWE would be interested in putting current WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee on the program, but cannot due to Punk’s ongoing issues with the company.

The mid-season finale will air head-t0-head with “Hell in a Cell” this Sunday, with the new episodes picking back up in January.

Well…I mean…someone will watch it.
