On Monday, March 31, the final edition of “Monday Night Raw” before WrestleMania XXX will air live from Washington, D.C. at the Verizon Center. The likely main event for the evening was announced on the March 24 edition of the program, as Batista will go one-on-one against WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton. Orton will defend his title against Batista and either Daniel Bryan or Triple H in a triple threat match at WrestleMania XXX.
In preparation for the event, Mike Jones of DC101 interviewed “The Animal” Batista. The two discussed a number of topics such as WrestleMania XXX, how quickly the WWE Universe turned on him after the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, and the vibe going around in the WWE locker room.
Batista stated the following regarding the backstage vibe in WWE:
“Being back in it and seeing that the guys are young and hungry, it gives me a great outlook on the business. And there’s a lot of talent in there, it’s stuff that I didn’t see before I actually came back. It’s good, it’s a good vibe.”

Editor’s Note
Batista’s comments are certainty interesting, as there have been many reports that he is not well liked among those in the WWE locker room. Leading up to his return, he referred to WWE Superstars as C-level stars in a B-level era, likely angering many talents.
