As seen on the latest edition of “Monday Night Raw,” on July 7, neither Jack Swagger or Zeb Colter appeared in front of the live crowd from Montreal. On the previous week’s showing of the program, the two seemingly turned babyface, clashing with Rusev and Lana. On this week’s episode, during Rusev’s match with Rob Van Dam, a backstage promo of Zeb Colter was shown. However, another confrontation would not occur.
F4WOnline has recently published a report as to why Colter and Swagger did not appear for the live crowd. For one, there is a possibility that Swagger wasn’t even at the event. Because of his past legal troubles in the United States, he has been denied entry into Canada in the past. Most recently, it occurred during January of 2014. Swagger also did not appear at the live event in Toronto on Sunday, July 6.
Additionally, the report notes that Zeb Colter was at the event. However, he did not appear in front of the live audience because WWE did not want him to get booed. Being in Canada, WWE thought it was possible that the Montreal crowd would not get behind the “Real American.” WWE sees Swagger and Colter as babyface characters in the feud with Rusev and Lana, meaning the company did not want Swagger and Colter to get booed so quickly after their turn.
Editor’s Note
Pretty obvious reasoning as to why the two were kept off television. The Swagger news is kind of interesting. It probably means the two won’t appear on “Smackdown” either, if true.
