Alexander Rusev also known as the “Bulgarian Brute” transitioned to WWE’s main roster when he debuted at the 2014 Royal Rumble pay-per-view. There, he competed in the 30-man Royal Rumble match, entering sixth. Rusev lasted over six minutes in the match, looking formidable as it took four WWE Superstars to eliminated him. Those superstars were CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, and Kofi Kingston. Since this transition from NXT to the main WWE roster, Rusev and his manager, Lana, have appeared in vignettes in addition to appearing live on “Monday Night Raw.”
A recent report by PWInsider has revealed that internal plans within WWE may very well have Alexander Rusev’s debut match at WrestleMania XXX or the night after on “Monday Night Raw.” Previous plans for Rusev had his debut match pinned for a date after both WrestleMania XXX and the following “Monday Night Raw,” possibly signifying that these plans have been moved to an earlier date.
Alexander Rusev is just 28 years-old and his stature and physique have him on a path to succeed in WWE in the coming years. His work in NXT was very pleasing to WWE, making him a “lock” for the WWE main roster, as we previously reported in November of 2013.
The previous reports were indeed true as Rusev now finds himself on the WWE main roster. With just three more weeks of WWE programming leading into WrestleMania XXX, if Rusev were to have his debut match, the build will likely need to start soon. Perhaps Rusev will enter himself in the Andre the Giant 30-man Battle Royal, giving him the chance to solidify himself as a formidable up-and-comer in WWE.
