On Monday’s Raw, Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar threatened to leave WWE if Lesnar ends up losing the Universal Championship at SummerSlam. Following the show, Raw general manager Kurt Angle commented on the possibility of Lesnar leaving WWE if things don’t go his way at SummerSlam.
“Well, my remark to that is that would be a big loss for the WWE, but I can’t worry about that, I’m the general manager of Raw, I have to do what is right, I have to pick the right matches, the best matches, and right now the fatal four way is the best match to go at SummerSlam. Brock Lesnar is the Universal Champion, but he might not be after SummerSlam, and after that we’re gonna have to deal with it.”
As of this writing, we haven’t heard that Brock Lesnar has re-entered the USADA drug testing pool, so his suspension, which was frozen with five months left after Lesnar retired from MMA back in February, is still frozen.
Originally, we heard that the UFC was trying to put together a Brock Lesnar vs. Jon Jones fight for the December 30 pay-per-view. But, unless Lesnar secretly re-entered the USADA pool within the last couple of days, that fight can’t happen.
All signs seem to be pointing to the fight happening next summer, at the UFC’s big 4th of July weekend show in Vegas.
