Batista is Interested in a WWE Return, But Vince McMahon Isn’t

Batista recently appeared on Chris Jericho’s podcast — Talk is Jericho — to talk about his movie career, among other things. Towards the end of the show, Jericho asked the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion if he’s interested in coming back to the company for another run, and he didn’t only say yes, but he also said he’s pitched an idea to Vince McMahon. However, he also said that the WWE chairman isn’t interested in doing his idea.

“I’ve asked [to come back and do something], and I’ve asked for what I want,” said Batista on Talk is Jericho. “I’ll tell you, and I’ve talked to Hunter about it, and I’ve talked to Vince about it, and I said that I will come back and run a whole program with Hunter. That’s the only thing I’m interested in doing. But they’re just not interested in doing it.”

Batista’s last WWE run, which took place in 2014, didn’t go according to plan. He was supposed to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 30, and while he was still involved in the show’s main event, he didn’t win the title, and he ended up leaving the company shortly thereafter.
