There has been a lot of criticism on CM Punk from wrestling fans and UFC fans because many people are starting believe that he may not actually fight in The Octagon. However, there is progress on finding Punk’s next opponent.
Dana White recently appeared on “Off the Record” to promote UFC 194 during an interview with Michael Landsberg. Landsberg specifically asked about Punk’s status and when we can expect him to fight in UFC.
White had the following to say about Punk’s status.
“I didn’t know. It was the first time this guy has ever trained. The guy has never wrestled. He professional wrestled, but he never wrestled.”
“He will fight next year, 100 percent,” he said.
White then revealed that he is currently looking for an opponent for Punk, who has zero MMA fights under his belt, from a show they’re producing right now.
“I just started a new show, the pilot is on YouTube, it’s called Dana White: Looking for a Fight, and I’m actually out looking for opponents for CM Punk right now.”
