Rumor: WWE Planning Huge Money in the Bank Cash-In This Year

Last year, Baron Corbin and Carmella won the Money in the Bank briefcases. The Lone Wolf failed in his cash-in, but “The Princess of Staten Island” became the first woman in history to successfully cash-in the briefcase. With this year’s Money in the Bank a week away, the WWE Universe is excited to see who will be holding the briefcases this year.

It’s been rumored that Natalya is the favorite to win the contract in the Women’s Ladder Match. Also, The Miz seems to be the frontrunner to capture MITB for the second time in his career. It’s a bit premature to speculate about possible cash-ins when the winners haven’t been determined yet, but WWE officials already have plans for a huge cash-in.

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer, WWE officials could be planning the Men’s briefcase to be cashed-in at Summerslam. The rumored main event for the event is another match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. It’s being said that whoever wins the WWE Universal Title Match at Summerslam, there will be a cash-in afterward.

Hypothetically, that means The Miz would cash-in on Brock Lesnar or Roman Reigns. If he were the one to take the title off Lesnar, he’d have ultimate bragging rights and that would likely set up a huge rivalry with Reigns. If Miz were to cash-in and steal the title from Roman, their feud will continue all the same after Summerslam and into the fall.

Of course, there is no guarantee that The Miz will win the briefcase this year. However, it seems that no matter who wins the briefcase this year, they could cash-in the contract at Summerslam and will begin a feud with Roman Reigns. Lesnar’s WWE future should have a huge impact on the cash-in, but WWE fans should expect a cash-in this year.
