Yesterday, it was revealed that Bray Wyatt has been dealing with a significant back injury of some kind. The report explained WWE’s booking of him at “Roadblock” and his lack of push on the Road to Wrestlemania.
In fact, many in the WWE Universe have been very disgruntled when it comes to Wyatt because he “hasn’t been booked strongly” and even Stone Cold Steve Austin agrees with that assessment.
However, WWE is still very invested in him, and there are major plans for his character after Wrestlemania and going into 2016.
On paper, Wyatt’s injury forced WWE to save Brock Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt for another time, but WWE Creative’s booking of Wyatt will be determined on his back injury and how much time he will be missing.
According to the Wrestling Observer, it won’t be for a prolonged amount of time. However, the question is if the injury will keep him off the Wrestlemania card.
There is still the possibility of The Wyatt Family interfering in the Dean Ambrose vs. Lesnar and costing The Beast the match. That would allow Ambrose to get the win while preserving Lesnar’s unbeatable aura, and set up Lesnar vs. Wyatt to build until Summerslam.
That’s probably what WWE has planned, and then that feud will let Wyatt slide into the WWE World title picture that will be full by then and challenge for the WWE Championship.
Don’t give up on Bray Wyatt just yet. We can expect big things from him in 2016.
