Last night was the go home show for “Clash of Champions” this Sunday. Raw had a full show with building towards the brand’s first exclusive PPV, and the debut of Raw’s Cruiserweight Division.
The main event of the show saw Kevin Owens face Roman Reigns inside a steel cage six days before Owens defends the WWE Universal Championship against Seth Rollins while Reigns faces Rusev for the US title.
The main event ended with Reigns beating Owens by escaping the cage first with only a couple of seconds to spare. However, Rusev got involved, and the double team of Owens and Rusev began on Reigns.
The cage was locked with Reigns being dismantled inside, so Seth Rollins had no choice but to climb the structure and jump onto the heels for a huge moment to end Raw.
After Raw had gone off the air with all four men inside the steel cage, the beatdown continued until Rollins hit Owens with a Pedigree and Reigns caught Rusev with a spear. Some of the off-air action was captured in the video below:
Rollins and Reigns had a staredown, but both men left the arena to send the Memphis crowd home happy ready for “Clash of Champions” on Sunday.
