Earlier this week, it was reported that TNA’s intense struggle to stay in business is not getting any better. In fact, we can now add even more fuel to that fire because the company has lost another big talent.

There was a rumor a few days ago that longtime TNA talent and former Women’s Knockout Champion Velvet Sky was leaving TNA. Now, it’s been confirmed, and the following mutual statement has been made by both:

IMPACT WRESTLING today announced a mutual decision with TNA Knockouts veteran Velvet Sky to not renew her agreement.

Sky’s final in-ring appearance with TNA occurred in Orlando earlier today and will broadcast on an upcoming episode of IMPACT WRESTLING seen Tuesday nights at 9/8c on Pop.

“This has been my home for 10 years and, no matter what happens in my future, I will never forget where I’ve come from or the people who have helped me get where I am,” said Sky. “Thank you to everyone at TNA – from talent to production to crew -who has helped me do what I love.”

In real life, Sky is Bubba Ray Dudley’s girlfriend. There has been no word on the matter and she just left TNA, but it’s certainly possible for her to transition to NXT or even the main roster soon.

Do you think Velvet Sky should go to WWE?
