A few days ago, Dana White provided an update on CM Punk’s debut fight in UFC. Dana had the following to say when he was questioned about Punk’s status:
“He’ll fight – I’m going to say before summer, probably before summer,” White said a Q&A session with fans on Friday.
“Listen, he doesn’t have any fights yet, man,” White said. “Let him take his time and work his way in.”
Punk was set to fight at the end of 2015, or in early 2016. The update Dana gave the other day has more or less pushed Punk’s debut day to the summer of 2016. However, that depends on Punk’s injury status after his shoulder slowed his training down.
On the latest episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Dana White appeared and provided an update on Punk’s injury status. White claims that Punk is healing nicely from his shoulder injury, and he will not be having surgery on it. White also added that Punk will be back to training soon, and this summer is his debut as of this writing.
